Whether you’re pitching tents or parking an RV, our spacious sites offer the perfect outdoor home for your group, large or small.

Our campsites can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests, providing ample space for everyone in your party. Choose from a variety of settings—opt for a site with back-in or pull-through access, all equipped with 30 or 50-amp electrical service, ensuring year-round camping comfort without the worry of frost.

Each site comes complete with a picnic table and a fire ring with a BBQ grill, ideal for an evening of storytelling and s’more-making. Positioned conveniently near the river’s beaches, swimming areas, and playgrounds, our sites also offer the serene backdrop of wooded areas for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

Our campgrounds feature clean, sparkling restrooms and coin-operated showers, ensuring you can freshen up after a day full of outdoor activities. There are 2 24-hour restroom/shower houses on the family side and 1 on the loud area side.

At Huzzah Valley, we understand that everyone has their own unique camping style. That’s why we offer diverse site options:

Family Area Camping: For those seeking a peaceful evening under the stars.

Loud Area Camping: Perfect for those who enjoy lively nights and making new friends.

This campground is subject to flash flooding. At times, it is necessary to vacate the campground. The continuous horn blowing of a park vehicle will indicate that you must vacate the campground immediately.

* All guests MUST FIRST REGISTER AT THE OFFICE BEFORE ENTERING THE CAMPGROUND.
* Fire-ring grills are provided at each campsite. Use them to build fires. NO HUGE BONFIRES!
* Quiet hours in the family campground begins at 11:00 p.m. and ends at 6:00 a.m. Quiet hours in the Loud Campground begins at 1:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 a.m. QUIET HOURS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED. NON-COMPLIANCE CAN RESULT IN EVICTION! There is absolutely no crossing between the Zoo “loud” area and the family area. NO EXCEPTIONS!
* No cutting or marring of any trees. A $159 fine per inch damaged is assessed for all infractions. Foraging for wood is strictly prohibited as to maintain and preserve a natural landscape. Firewood is sold at our store, do NOT bring firewood from home. Moving Firewood moves pests. If you plan to camp and /or burn firewood, use local sources of firewood.
* No illegal drugs of any kind are allowed on the premises. Violators will be arrested and prosecuted.
* All trash must be disposed of in the proper containers. A deposit is required and will only be returned at the end of the stay if ALL TRASH HAS BEEN PROPERLY STASHED. Trash Littering will result in $150 fine and loss of campsite deposit.
* Loud area campers: In order to get your $40.00 per site deposit back you must check out at the Main Store and take your trash to the dumpster. Trash should not be left on the campsite.
* Parking is allowed only at campsite assigned for your use.
* Solicitation or selling any items in our park is strictly prohibited.
* Checkout time of 2:00 p.m. is strictly enforced.
* Absolutely NO FIREARMS/FIREWORKS or bows allowed on the premises.
* Generators are not allowed.
* No electrical cords are to run from electrical to non-electrical sites.
* Pets must be kept on a leash at all times while in the campground and NEVER left unattended. Do not attach leashes to trees. Keep leash to a 10-ft. maximum length.
* Speed limit is 6 mph in the campground. Violators will be evicted from the premises.
* No ATV’s, 4-wheelers, or dirt bikes allowed.
* Anyone destroying or damaging property of Huzzah Valley will be held accountable. This includes fines as well as arrest and prosecution.
* Car pass must be kept displayed and readily accessible for confirmation by campground security.
* PLEASE NOTE: Most all property along the river is privately owned. Purple paint means no trespassing. Violators will be prosecuted and fined.
* PLEASE NOTE: All branches of law enforcement are allowed and do make unscheduled patrols of the campground.
* PLEASE NOTE: These streams are patrolled by the Missouri State Water Patrol.
* PLEASE NOTE: Security will patrol on Friday & Saturday nights. If you have any problems, contact Security at the Main store.
* All rates and policies are subject to change without prior notice!
* Huzzah Valley reserves the right to move or change any campsites without notice!
Management reserves the right to evict persons for non-compliance to any Huzzah Valley rules!
Cancellations must be made 10 Full days in advance in order to receive a refund minus a $35.00 service charge.  If you must cancel less than ten days in advance of your arrival you will forfeit your entire deposit. The deposit would be the total amount you have paid.

Camping FAQs

What is the busiest time of the season?

The busiest time is from the end of June until the end of July on the weekends. Weekdays are usually not as busy. We always recommend making a reservation in advance.

Most campsites accommodate 10 people per site. We do have group sites available, please call our office for specific details on these sites.

Usually, 1 camper trailer & one tent can fit on one W&E/Full site. If there is not a camper trailer there is a 3-4 tents maximum(depending on tent size) on a W&E/Full site.

Yes, there is an additional fee per site per night for the hookup sites.

Yes, pets are allowed in our campground. They do need to be kept on a leash at all times.

Yes, we have 2 dump stations. One is located by the upper shower house and the other is on the loud side of our campground.

Yes, we have three showers houses/restrooms throughout our campground. One is on the Loud side and the other two are on the Family side. The showers are coin-operated and they cost .50 cents each. The showers last 4 to 5 minutes.

We are 1 ½ hours from St. Louis.

We are open year-round. We do have limited lodging during the winter hours. We do recommend making a reservation in advance at 1-800-367-4516.

Golf carts are welcome but other recreational vehicles are not.

Some suggested items are a tent, tent stakes, rope, sleeping bag, air mattress, pillow, camp stove, lantern, lawn chairs, insect repellent, toiletries, cookware, cooler, food and drinks. We do have a fully stocked Country Store.

Yes, we recommend a reservation on weekends, especially Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend. Weekdays don’t require a reservation, but we always recommend calling to let us know you are coming.

Yes, we have the family side where the quiet hours start at 11:00pm and then we have the loud (zoo) side where the quiet hours start at 1:00am.

We have dumpsters located throughout the campground. Trash is to be placed in these.

Small and Large Mouth Bass, Goggle Eye, Blue Gill, Suckers, and Sunfish. You may fish along the bank anywhere in our campground. Every now and then you might see a trout. These fish escape from the trout hatchery up the Dry Creek. It doesn’t happen very often. A fishing license is required and can be purchased at the Country Store.

We have a 10-day cancellation policy; as long as you cancel at least 10 days prior to your arrival you will get your deposit back less a $35.00 service charge. If you cancel less than 10 days prior to your arrival you will forfeit your deposit in full.

Sunday-Thursday the office is open until 9pm, Friday night until 11:00pm, and Saturday night until 10:00pm. You may check in any time after 3pm. If you arrive after the office is closed you will need to check in with the night watchman on the front porch and come up the following morning to get a car tag. Closing times are Memorial Day through Labor Day. Off Season is October – April, please call for closing times.

Camping reservations should be made at least 2 weeks, if not 2 months prior to your arrival. We tend to book up quickly for weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day. Last-minute reservations can be made depending on availability.

All reservations are to be paid in full before arrival. Once you make the reservation you have 10 days to pay.

No, camping prices in the Loud area are different than in the family area. Anyone under the age of 18 who is staying in the loud area has to have an Underage Parental Permission slip signed.

No, horses are NOT allowed.
